Georgia Mining Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in Georgia counties where Georgia Mining Association members maintain operations who plan to attend college in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the 112 counties of Georgia where association members maintain operations.
  • Applicants must have been accepted at an accredited college or university in the state.
  • They must have completed designated courses in English, mathematics, science, history, and social science with an overall average of 85% or higher and have scores of at least on the SAT or 18 on the ACT. Along with their application, they must submit a 200word essay on their activities, home life, plans for the scholarship money, how it will help them in the future, and what they would like the committee to know about them.
  • Financial need is also considered in the selection process.
