Requirements

This program is open to students working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in ceramic engineering.

Applicants must be sponsored or recommended by an active member of the Southwest Section of the American Ceramic Society (ACerS).

Selection is based on that essay, dedication to ceramic sciences and the ceramic industry, academic record, a wellrounded personal character, interest in industries relevant to the Southwest Section, and financial need.

Preference is given to applicants residing in the areas served by the Southwest Section: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and the northern border states of Mexico.
